Mission Innovation engages energy ministers and ministers of other sectors that play an important role in clean energy innovation, such as ministries of science and technology or economics. Ministers of MI countries provide high-level leadership for their countries’ involvement in the initiative and serve as priority setters for MI efforts. Ministers also work together with private sector leaders and energy investors, underscoring the critical link between government innovation and entrepreneurship to bring affordable clean energy technologies to market.
